How the price check works
- Every price is checked against a hard range for that fuel type — a mistyped $34.59 never makes it in.
- It is then compared to the median of recent reports for the same fuel type in the same ZIP code. More than 25% off gets flagged; more than 60% off is refused.
- With no local history yet, the price is measured against a national reference and only ever flagged, never refused.
